I bought this as a backup with my bronc pen mini just suddenly stopped working and had to send it back to get it repaired, and need a machine to use on its absence, and this 60$ machine blew my God dam mind, u did not expect to get that much powerful, quality, customer support and I've contemplated over and over again to get another as a secondary backup since they work so gre and are so cheap

My all around experience with Bigwasp has been awesome! You guys rock! Not to mention this is my first machine and it’s definitely a perfect fit and comfortable! Line work is perfect with this machine! Highly recommended!

Does it’s job well and has overall solid hand control. Adjusting needle depth is difficult and slippery; doesn’t stay in place well.

Just love this little machine. I bought it as a back up, to my hummingbird V10. It’s so smooth running, no lagging at all. Packed the color right in. My new favorite machine! I will be buying another one.

Highly recommend!! You wont regret. I will buy another one.

Great machine, works well, would be a great tool to start going wireless with, only issue I have is that it's hard to adjust needle depth, after bagging and grip taping
juana
Good smooth machine on lines on shading

Super quite and easy handling. Definitely worth the buy.

I will be buying pens from now on first tattoo but having anxiety it was way easier to control the pen while shaking then the gun I love it

Great for beginners! First day everything works as should.
Great value if it holds up!
Needles seem to either be dull or just in general not the best quality. Keeps catching/dragging on my skin.

Love this brand. I started on a Hummingbird machine, I use Big Wasp cartridge needles and a Big Wasp tattoo Pen. Great company, great people, great customer service. A total win
Alexis
Granted I am a new tattoo artist I love this machine. Light weight really don't have to struggle with it at all, great price, great for lining and shading I will be looking to invest to buy another one.

I'm pretty impressed with this machine. The recommended voltage is a bit low but I've been running it higher and it's been fine. It's a GREAT machine for how low the price is. Mine is still going strong and many of the other artists in my shop have also bought this machine now.
Alexis
Solid pen! First time using a rotary pen and honestly it has changed the way I tattoo completely. Hits hard and packs in color/black flawlessly. I definitely recommend this pen to anyone looking to try out rotary and especially Big Wasp cartridges.

This is worth the money! Runs smooth .. Little to no vibration..light weight so it's easy on the hand.. Adjustable.. I'm very happy with this machine.

Awesome bang for your buck. This is my first rotary machine after learning on coils. There was an adjustment period, and I think I am still adjusting to it, but being able to tattoo for hours without my hand going numb and cramping up from carpal tunnel is great! Also being able to hear my clients talking to me.
Here’s an actual actual review tho.
I don’t like the positioning of the part that adjusts the needle depth. It can easily be turned unintentionally, even with a bag over the pen. It would be much nicer if it was situated further back on the pen. It’s a bit goofy. I find that wrapping over the wrap w tape helps prevent this issue.
The needle gets stuck in or out of the tube after running the machine. I wish it would either stay out or stay in. Not sure if this is intended, since this is the only rotary I’ve used and have only been using it for so long.
One last qualm (albeit more personal probably) if you have a faster hand speed, it will require some playing around. I noticed my lines looked way more solid moving my hand slow, and I don’t want to crank this machine up too much as I’m nervous about tearing someone up. (The lack of sound is kind of intimidating, coils make it easier to hear the “bog” and you can tell if they’re angry based on the sound lol)

Cant beat it for the price, I have been tattoo artist for 13 years, working in a tattoo shop right now and use this machine every day, it lines shades and colors very well, definitely recommend, I have used $500 machines that work the same
Mercedes Muñoz
Works great! Feels like your writing with a pen
carlos gonzalez
This pen is smooth running, hits hard for line work and great for shading also.

I've been tattooing for over 20 years I have some really expensive machines and some pretty inexpensive machines and I tell you this machine here it's quiet it's powerful no vibration super quiet and it really truly for the money you cannot go wrong check this one out it's worth it
Ace
This is my first time using a pen, and this thing works great, i figured i would give this one a try before i buy something more expensive and I think I made a great choice, this thing runs great, quiet smooth and hits hard enough to line and yet soft enough to shade, and looks beautiful too. I did 2 small tats with it and it lines really nice at 8.9v and shades really well at 7.3, not bad for the money.

Got this machine today. Used it back to back for lining, shading, and color work on these two pieces. Love it, it lays down the ink just as nice as my Cheyenne Hawk Thunder
sabrina
Using this gives you so much more control. I have used it a few times since then and all I can say that it is great!
Jake
Little with a big punch. Bad ass little machine I have several very expensive machines bought this one for traveling and it’s become my daily consistent strong hit and great line work every time but still soft enough for a great grey shader

I have been wanting to try a Pen machine for awhile but haven’t been able to bring myself to invest in a Cheyenne. So I figured this machine might be a good starting off point. It’s amazing for the prices. The day after I got it, I used it for a 6 hour session and my hand wasn’t tired at all. It all packs in ink extremely well and runs so smoothing. It’s my favorite machine now! Beating my Stealth Lite.

Switched from coil machines to this... was hesitant because i didn’t wanna lose my throw depth but this machine made me fall in love with rotaries great pen for line work and good saturation packer
Anthony
I got this for my apprentice seeing how everyone in our shop had previously already switched over to cartridge pen machine while my apprentice was still using coils and standard needles and tubes. He was so pleased using it that he hasn't looked back at his coils.

Very nice especially for the price. The customer service is great. I’ve tattooed fulltime for 15 years, usually order through kingpin and other major suppliers, none of them have gone to the lengths to make sure I’ve been happy with my purchases that BigWasp has. I will gladly order through BigWasp again
Zay
Pros: clean lines, great for shading, light and gets the work done.
Cons: the cartridge grip twist by itself if not careful
Phoebe
Very sturdy & great price! This is a great rotary machine especially for the price! I’ve used it on several tattoos already and it might be my new favorite!! I also like the width of this pen t’s very comfortable to use and has a good weight. It doesn’t come with the cord but it does take a universal RCA cord.

I gotta say this machine is well worth the money. Very smooth low vibration easy to clean and maintain couldn’t ask for more. Big wasp has a really awesome product line. I’ve been tattooing for over 20 years . And I recommend this company for anyone starting out or experience believe me you won’t be disappointed..

The only reason I give these pens a 4 star is I like to adjust my needle depth while tattooing and you really can’t with these after you apply grip tape. The pen runs smooth though, great line work ( running at 7.5 ) and shade smooth ( at 7.7 ). I’m my opinion it’s a solid little machine just wish I could change my depth while in a session.

I am a big fan of the Big Wasp cartridges, so I figured I would give the pen a chance. I have used it a handful of times and am very pleased with the way it performs. It does have a Japanese motor, but you can barely tell. I have used some of the $300+ machines in my career and this is surprisingly comparable. Performs very precise and solid lines at a relatively low voltage, resulting in a longer life for the machine. As well as being exceptionally powerful, it can also give a very delicate hit for soft shading and next to nothing gradients. I was pleased at the length being slightly smaller than my last couple pens. I strongly suggest this machine for everyone that is immersed in the rotary tattoo art. It is very lightweight, resulting in longer periods of tattoo time without stain on hands and wrists.

I love this pen hits hard and smooth like some of my $600 machines... definitely a pen to have in collection. All tattoos done with big wasp supply
